I switched to Fios and love it.  I had to cancel my service with Direct TV to switch.  Unlike Earthlink, Direct TV was very courteous and easy to work with, even with my cancellation call.  Any time I had technical issues with the boxes, they replaced them promptly and without issues.  I give them a thumbs up.
 
It only took me a month and a half and five cancellation numbers to get Earthlink to quit billing me.
